While Baltimore itself is not a beach resort, there are some fine beaches accessible from the village by ferry. For unspoilt scenery, absence of crowds and golden sands explore Silver Strand (Sherkin Island) and Reen Strand (Heir Island).

Golf -

The Skibbereen & West Carbery Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 parkland course, just up the Skibbereen road. The course enjoys some magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Golf equipment is available for hire, including buggies.
